The Grand Traverse Foodshed Alliance operates the Food Innovation Hub at 1610 Barlow Street in Traverse City. The facility has already become the go-to convening spot for people, businesses, and nonprofits participating in the region’s robust food system.
We want to build a resource library for farms and food businesses to be housed in the Food Innovation Hub lobby. Along with a collection of books and reading materials pertinent to starting and running a farm or food business, there will also be access to computers for online research, video conferencing technology, and other support. It will be open to the public and will also feature regular office visits by support partners including, Michigan SBDC, SCORE, Venture North, Northern Initiatives, Commonplace Law, and others.
Join other supporters already making a difference.
Our modest $5,000 target by year’s end is designed to get things started, and we’ll build the project from there. Would you join me in supporting this good cause? The fund will go to support the Grand Traverse Foodshed Alliance, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support. If you’ve got a Facebook page, you make a quick donation here. Otherwise, feel free to send us a check.
If you’ve got books or other resource materials that would be important resources to new or expanding food businesses, we’ll take those too. Just let us know what you’ve got.
